Less movement for Intel processors

In addition to introducing a new flagship, the manufacturer has also reduced the price of some models.

Intel has replaced the most powerful Core i7 desktop processor to date, the i7-980X Extreme Edition. Named the newcomer, the Core i7-990X Extreme Edition, it is made with a 32nm process and receives the same price tag as its predecessor, which costs $ 999. The six-core monster enriches the Westmere product line with a clock speed of 3,46 GHz. This also brought with it a price cut that affects two previous models, the Core i7-970 and the Core i7-960. For the former, the price fell from $ 885 to $ 583, while for the latter it fell from $ 562 to $ 294.
