Magyar Telekom's Board of Directors has decided on a new management structure

At yesterday's meeting, Magyar Telekom's Board of Directors approved the medium- and long-term strategic directions of the company's operations, and decided to establish a new management structure as one of the first steps.

The aim of the changes, which will start in January 2013, is to enable Magyar Telekom to take advantage of new, innovative service and business opportunities by responding flexibly and in a timely manner to changing customer needs and market challenges. The company's new organizational structure also aims to serve customers at a high level, up-to-date and efficiently. Magyar Telekom will provide more detailed information on the new strategic directions and operating model during the autumn, once the necessary further decisions have been made.

Based on the decision of the Board of Directors, the most important changes effective from January 2013, 1 are the following:

The current position of Deputy Chief Sales and Service Officer will be transformed and renamed, and in the future he will serve as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Retail Services.
The current position of Deputy Chief Marketing Officer will be terminated.
A new position of Deputy CEO for Small and Medium Business Services will be created to manage the area serving the affected customer base.
The Hungarian name of the current position of Deputy CEO of Corporate Services will not change.
The area of ​​responsibility of the current Deputy Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer will be transformed and renamed; the name of the position will be Deputy Chief Business Development Officer in the future.
The number of senior executives will not change, and the Chairman and CEO and eight Deputy CEOs will continue to form the Executive Committee responsible for the operational management of the company.
