Last April, the two companies announced that they would jointly build a telematics system based on Windows Azure. Telematics systems combine the benefits of telecommunications solutions, such as mobile networks, with information technology tools such as GPS. Telematics is suitable for analyzing the driving habits of drivers, but is also suitable for providing real-time information on a given route.
