While AMD is preparing for the March Catalyst, NVIDIA is not idle either, the fresh GeForce drive, like the released Catalyst, is also not final, but promises a lot of goodness.
The NVIDIA GeForce 197.13 beta driver, as its name suggests, is not yet a final version, but it does include a lot of improvements and fixes fan control issues with the previous driver (196.75), among other things. The controller works with GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300 series and ION desktop GPUs, but does not support the new GTX 400 cards.
