Akasa's first VGA cooler has arrived
Known for its various modding accessories, computer cases, power supplies and processor coolers, Taiwan’s Akasa has unveiled its first video card cooler.
In the case of the Vortexx fancy cooling unit, a 6-centimeter copper chip contacts the graphics processor: from here, warm air is transferred by two heat pipes to the huge aluminum fin, which is cooled by a 2300 cm fan running at 7 rpm.
The cooling unit, which can be attached to the AMD Radeon X1800, X1900, X1950 and NVIDIA GeForce 6800, 7800 and 7900 video cards, can also handle the power provided by the traditional three-pin motherboard connector.
