Many people use the internet for entertainment

The Ipsos polling company conducted a detailed survey of Internet habits.

Six-tenths of the world's Internet users visit sites where they can find information about their hobbies and topics that satisfy their personal interests. An even larger proportion of Hungarians, two-thirds, visit portals related to their pets - only Turkish and Chinese netizens are ahead of us in this regard. Downloads are also popular, with 43 percent downloading songs from the net, 34 percent watching movies, and 22 percent watching television online last quarter. The frequency of Hungarian music and film downloads is exactly the average, while web-based television is typical for a slightly smaller proportion (18 percent). Video games are played by 22 percent, and online gambling, which promises to make money, is played by 13 percent. A relatively small proportion of Hungarian netizens, 17 percent, are used to having fun with online video games. 16 percent of our compatriots regularly risk their money in some form of online gambling, which is slightly above the international average - the most important findings of an Ipsos survey of internet users in 24 countries.
