Details about MSI's WindBOX
The soul of the machine is still the already well-known 1.6 GHz Atom processor.
Micro-Star International is preparing to release an Atom-centric machine under the Wind brand, which is different from the net, an ultra-thin, fanless housing with the fantasy name WindBOX. It measures 180 × 255 × 19 mm, weighs just 1,08 kg and is completely silent thanks to fanless cooling. The soul of the machine remains the 1.6 GHz Atom CPU, which was associated with 1 GB of DDR2 memory and a SATA hard drive by the designers.
The WindBOX supports the VESA recording interface, has a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet controller, WiFi, a 3 in 1 memory card reader, three USB 2.0 ports and standard audio connectors. The product may hit store shelves sometime towards the end of the quarter, its expected price is not yet known.
