PalmOne Treo 700w: The first Windows Palm PDA

Well, we also understood this: the first Windows Mobile-based Palm PDA has arrived.

The Engadgetes guys got one of PalmOne’s latest PDA called 700w, which is a huge novelty that it runs Windows Mobile 5 on it instead of the usual PalmOS. With the tremendous marketing power of the word Treo - at least in America - this tool will be a success that has so far been received with skepticism by many despite all the rumors and leaked images; PalmOne has so far been Microsoft's ancestor in the PDA market, although since the company split into hardware and software (PalmSource), it has been speculated that they will be winking at other platforms after PalmOS. So what does the 700w know? CDMA phone with EV-DO (English: this phone will not go in Europe), 64 MB memory, Bluetooth, SD card slot, keyboard and unfortunately only 240 × 240 display, which certainly spoils the overall picture.
