For normal use, 10 worked for a day with a charge almost inexhaustible.

Introductory

Again, I was mistaken that a phone book was not written a week after I received the phone. This is a serious disadvantage, as the competition publishes its own writings, which shows how the phone scores the compulsory test programs and how long it takes for intensive immersion.

With a phone like Oukitel K10, article writing is even harder. With an average mobile, if you're in a hurry, you can have two days with photography, dive, tests, and writing. Now let's not say in such an article how much the experience of real use will be, obviously, not so much. For Oukitel K10, an average 1-2 day test is simply not feasible because the phone does not want to run out of this time. Well, Youtube can go on it all day long, but that's far enough from real use and that we start to share the results we get to get the number of days the phone has ... I do not see much of this.

As I have written several times, I'm sorry, 1-2 days are not enough for a test. I always want to pass on my feelings of using a particular hardware. These may be emotional experiences or information from real-world use, however, in any case, I consider it important for the test to take place after a real test. For this reason, it is a little bit embarrassing to me that the first period, from charging to discharge, lasted more than a week. I've already made bets with me that when I get up in the morning, how many percent of the battery will be charged and how many days it will still be working time. Since I've also shot a screenshot for Facebook, my friends have asked me to tell you what phone it is, because I've been using it for six days and I still have a battery above the 20 percentage.

Well, this is Oukitel K10, which you can not dump.

Oukitel K10 - Unpacking

Oukitel follows the fashionable packaging mode recently, so the phone came in a large, black, square but boxed box on top with a shiny silver K10 caption. At the bottom of the box you will find a sticker with different information. I do not really know why the proximity sensor and the light sensor were important, but that would be Oukitel's business, and I would have increased battery capacity.

Leaving the top of the box in a plastic tray covered with a cardboard, the phone is nicely tucked away so that it does not get damaged. When the tray is raised to the right, two larger, left side of the phone underneath the phone have a longer black box with the accessories. At the top of the larger boxes there is a pictogram, one with a charger head and the other on the end of a USB cable. From these, it is immediately apparent that the charger is the first, and the cables are located here. The cables in this case are specifically three cables. One is a longer USB connected to the charging head, the other is a headset output from the USB Type-C port, and the third one is a converter, which makes USB Type-C a standard USB connector.

You do not have to tell too much about the charging head, you'll get the technical stuff when it comes to your phone!

In the longer box you will find a dry cloth, a front cover and descriptions for your phone in English. For a Chinese product, it is also encouraging that they do not include a Chinese description, a tiny but not insignificant attention to the world outside China. I shake the box in vain, no one else falls out, but I was hoping to get a back cover or a silicone case or something.

Now let's take a little look at the phone!

Oukitel K10 - the outside

I am a patient person, with the test equipment I follow the order well, first the various accessories, pouches, pins and then the subject of the test. I leave the point to the end, so it was.

The first surprise came when I could not get the phone out of the tray. It was heavily clenched, so it was only when I turned it on my head and so I tried.

For the first time, three things came to my mind. Surprisingly beautiful, surprisingly thick and surprisingly individual. The latter two features were expected, and eventually a huge battery had to be hidden in the phone. However, that mobile will look so good it is really surprised.

Of course, I will always tell you that something nice or ugly is relatively relative and subjective, depends on what we compare and compare, so our personal taste is very much in the way. I get a lot of shape.

The phone is huge by the way, after all, it has a six-inch display, but the manufacturer hasn’t even tried to create thin frames around the panel here. It’s suspected that because of the large and heavy battery, you had to build a serious house that can withstand any physical impact - you mean, because of the high weight, it puffs up bigger if you drop it.

The phone was handy for a minute or a minute and I realized why it was so weird and why I could not find the back cover. Obviously, there was the back cover, as was the case with a foil, so the second in the box was just a backup. In parentheses, I note the reserve, because the film is to say fine, so it's not a good quality. That's a lot of shit, and I've said all that. It's a good idea to look at a better type of traditional or glass foil when shopping.

The real details of the phone come to mind when you remove the medium hard silicone back cover. I’m not saying it’s showy along with the back cover, it somehow further highlights the shape of the shield surrounding the rear cameras and fingerprint sensor. However, when the silicone backing is removed, you can see the plastic impact protection strips bolted to the sideboard. The screws were not directly hidden, in fact, the head of the screws was not black but silver, which further enhances the brutal effect of the phone. If I wanted to look for a word that somehow circles what this device looks like, then maybe industry is the one closest to it. Large, heavy, dramatic, yet with beautifully carved shapes and a distinctively showy look.

We can not say a lot about the controls, Everything is in the usual place. On the right side there are the volume keys and the power button, and the left side is the tray for the SIM card and the memory card. On the lower edge there are speaker outputs and microphone, plus Type-C connector, and in front of the front panel speakers, cameras and sensors. In the back, as I have already mentioned, there are two cameras, a fingerprint sensor and a double LED flash. The rest of the pictures are told, you can go to the inner structure!

Oukitel K10 - the hardware

Let's start with the simplest parameters, the outside dimensions and the mass. As you have read, K10 is not a tiny phone. The outer dimensions are 7,85 x 16,74 x 1,25 centimeters. Although the length of the pages is not casual, the phone's thickness is a high-end mobile duplication. Say again, we're not surprised, an unusually large battery has come into the house. Another feature is the mass of the device, which is no less than 283 grams. With this, you could have a cool peak in mobile launches.

Let's go inside, take a look at the central unit. The soul of the phone was the MediaTek Helio P23 SoC, which was a relatively new development last autumn, and the first phones built on it were released earlier this year. This unit is the manufacturer's low-mid-range solution, but since we're not in 2008, this does not mean it's weak. The lower mid-range also has eight core and a maximum 2 GHz clock.

In the Helio P23, the eight seeds were clustered in two clusters, and in the lower cluster there are four Cortex-A53 cores with maximum 1,5, and four Cortec-A53 in the upper but with a maximum 2 GHz clock. This processor is made even with 16 nanometer strip widths, supports the instruction set ARMv8-A, and of course it is 64 bit, as it can be expected from a modern processor.

In addition to the proci, we can also discover a graphical accelerator, ARM Mali-G71 MP2, which has 2 core and 770 MHz clock.

In the central unit there is also a memory controller, which in this case supports LPDDR4 memory in dual channel mode. In this phone, there are quite a few 6 GBs of memory, running on 1600 MHz.

Thanks to technological advances, Helio P23 10 offers better performance and 15 percent consumes less energy than the predecessor Helio P20. These data are suspected and partly due to the GPU because the nuclei of the proci have not changed in either number or type.

MediaTek Helio P23 has brought great improvements to multimedia and camera features. P23 supports 13 megapixels, dual camera solutions, and virtual depth-of-field effects. The aforementioned features have also improved on a hardware level, but MediaTek has also done a great job in software. The new core units take advantage of MediaTek's Imagiq 2.0 technology. The above mentioned FOD effects are mainly due to this technology. In addition, Helio has a hardware camera control unit with an automatic exposure speed of twice that of rivals' solutions.

The Helio P23 has also undergone a major upgrade from mobile data connectivity. These are the most advanced 300 Mbps download and 150 MBps upload speeds as well as the two-card VoLTE / ViLTE technology, and they are the first in the industry, and these solutions provide faster and more consistent connectivity for the two card users.

As you can see, the central unit is quite a good piece of memory, but whoever takes this phone will not complain about the mass storage because of that a piece of 64 GB capacity has been put into the mobile.

I've already mentioned on the phone's display that six inches is the diagonal. Based on the IPS technology used, the now-fashionable 18: 9 aspect ratio is the standard FHD +, 2160 x 1080 pixel. The panel data is really good in accordance with the results of the IPS technology, the color depth is 24 bit, the contrast ratio is 1400: 1, and the brightness is 55 cd / m2. The latter data, of course, is not the IPS panel but the merit of backlighting. It is also important that the display occupies the 71 percentage of the front panel, which is nowhere near outstanding. As I have already noted, this is likely to be due to the large mass of the phone, but it is a bit confusing when it comes to using it.

Let's see the cameras! The manufacturer here cheats a bit - I do not understand why - because the datasheet has 21 megapixels on the larger rear camera, but the truth is that it's only 16 megapixels. The thing is even weird about the second auxiliary rear camera, which, according to the paper, is 8 megapixel, but in reality there are only two. I do not really understand the thing, software expansion is not worth it and the real 16 megapixels are not too small. So, maybe it would have been better if they say 16 megapixels, but they're no longer magicians. However, under the bigger rear camera, a Samsung S5K3P3 sensor works, which is not the strongest solution to Samsung, but I would not call it bad either. This is also the lower-middle category than the central unit. What first seems to be really bad, that is, the aperture of the optics, which is f / 2.8. So we will not shoot in the dark, even with the help camera. Still, we're back to the picture quality for the camera test, so far, I have not watched the test images directly so that I can write my impressions.

There are two cameras on the front panel. They have 8 and 2 megapixels according to their physical capabilities, so let's not stick to the 13 and 8 megapixels in the marketing materials, that's not true. Here, too, we will return to the picture quality, to look at my face scrolling down a little bit.

We did not talk about the sensors and the radios. All the things you need are from the compass to the magnetic sensor to the fingerprint reader. The phone is also good in the latter area. What's important is that it supports the B20 800 MHz LTE band used in Hungary. WiF has a n standard, but dual band, that is, it supports 5 GHz. Bluetooth is also pretty good, 4.2 standard. We get GPS and GLONASS for navigation, and in Central Europe this will be enough, we are not our surveyors to have more accuracy.

Finally, the essence of the phone is the battery! This is no less than a 11 thousand mAh capacity. According to factory data, 2G and 3G connectivity can be called 90 clock, and 1008 hour standby time is obtained. Brutal! It is worth charging the factory charger to use it, this is 5V / 5A, the phone has a quick charge feature so you can fully charge the phone with energy up to a human time.

Oukitel K10 - tests, measurements

I wouldn't let the text go too far. The MediaTek Helio P23 is a pretty well-done piece, and as such, as it fits, it beats its predecessors in speed. Plenty of manufacturers are still choosing - and presumably for a long time to come - the MediaTek MT6750T, which of course isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t dare call it too steely. Polk correctness tells me that phones with usable knowledge are built on it. Fortunately, at Oukitel, they have decided to dare to dream big and neglect the older MT6750T, but to squeeze in the price the newer, and thus obviously more expensive, SoC, the Helio P23. The result can be seen from the tests, our reward was a phone of huge size and expected to have adequate cocoa for years to come!

Photography

As expected, the phone’s cameras were just good for just the right rating. Nowadays, it is expected that any mobile phone will produce acceptable images in good light conditions, a task that is performed by the phone. That is, if we take us on an Adriatic vacation, we can take good photos on the beach in sunlight, unless we are completely wooden-handed for photography. In other respects, however, I would warn anyone not to leave the cameras to capture the experiences. This phone will not be suitable for low light conditions, especially when it is dark. What I can perfectly imagine - and perhaps I could imagine a phone for a similar task - is to document various work phases during company work, perhaps on a field trip. It's also good for this purpose, because we can take photos with him all day, he won't even shout after an outlet.

Summary

When I lowered the top of the box, it ran through my mind that it was not as ugly as I expected, and in fact, looks pretty good looking. Only then did I know the actual physical size of the phone when I highlighted it from the box. It's literally huge, and now I'm not just thinking of the mass. Nevertheless, in the huge body it was possible to smuggle a little playfulness, more specifically to find design elements that make up the huge block to look like a phone.

If you ask the question it was good to use it then I have to say it is not. And this is the reason for the size mentioned above. Of course, this is an overwhelming problem, as if you want a large battery, a long, or even an extra long battery life, then we have no choice, we will be forced to buy a huge and massive mobile phone. That is, this is also relative to this phone, we must combine the comfort of use with the brutal operating time it offers. If we look at this, then we can say that compared to the size of the battery it has not been big, it is not scratchy, compared to its use is convenient. At Oukitel, therefore, the engineers were working for their money, because all the other things in the base battery had been shrunk to the size of an all-embracing mobile phone.

Of course, the Oukitel K10 is not its display, its central unit or its cameras, but the operating time it charges. And that's really a sensational one. I did not even have a phone in my hand that I could not discharge quickly for the sake of the test. Of course I could have slept with a battery test program, but I was wondering how to do it in real life. As it looks beautiful in the pictures. I had to turn on Youtube when I was in the middle of the evening, because I felt that I had used too little during the day, so the 8-9 percent dive seemed to be low. I seriously thought I would never get dropped, this feeling can only be known to someone using a battery of similar sized batteries. Quite simply amazing!

What is the closing word? All that is needed for a long-running mobile phone is not to be afraid to buy it, it will not disappoint! Strong, far-reaching, and last but not least, immersive!
