The best Chinese top phones in December

Five beautiful and powerful mobiles, from 60 to the starry sky.

We are no longer applying with more phone top lists this month. As usual, we started with the cheapest phones to get to the top category. Since these are Chinese phones, the top category in this case doesn’t mean we have to leave our pants at the checkout as well. The first four of the phones can be purchased at a very discounted price, under eighty thousand forints, only the last one that will be out of line. Of course, this is no coincidence, both the manufacturer and the mobile stand out a bit from the average emerging manufacturers line. So let’s see what we recommend for those who can spend a little more than average on the phone!

XIAOMI Mi A1>

xiaomi_mi_a1_2.jpg

At Xiaomi, they may have thought that the MIUI system is a plus point for many, but there may be those who have this deterrent when making a purchase. This is why the Xiaomi Mi A1 (Android One) was created. The Xiaomi Mi A1 is the same phone as the Xiaomi Mi 5X, but while the latter is MIUI, the former device runs pure Android. But the good news is not over. The phone will receive regular updates, so it is promised that Android 8.0 and 9.0, which will be released in the next two years, will also be available on it.

We can click with satisfaction because of the hardware in the phone, as the Snapdragon 625 with its eight cores and 2 GHz clock is a real powerhouse, and an Adreno 506 GPU is working next to it. There is no shortage of memory or storage space, the former 4- the latter has a capacity of 64 GB. The phone has a great display with 450 nits of brightness, 5,5 inches Full HD, i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

There are three pieces of camera on the device. There is a 5- megapixel camera on the front and two 12-megapixel cameras on the back. Of course, the sensors were not spared by the Xiaomi either, we also find an accelerometer, compass and gyroscope in the Mi A1, so the mobile can be an excellent choice even in VR goggles.

This phone is, in our opinion, the best deal on the current list. Excellent camera, powerful hardware. It's also beautiful in photos, but it's even more showy in person, a real exclusive look, despite the fact that it's not the trendy frameless design. A real "Best Buy" offer!

Elephone S8 >>

elephone_s8_8.jpg

The Elephant S8 uses the latest MediaTek Helio X25 chipset. This central unit received ten processor cores, which were arranged in three groups, clustered into the proci. In the lower cluster are four Cortex-A53 cores operating at 1,4 GHz. The next cluster, in which we find four more Cortex-A53 cores, but their clock is already 2 GHz. And if the stud is released and all the forces have to be put in, then the top is the last cluster of two cores, in which two Cortex-A72 cores work, but they are already clocked at 2,5 GHz. In addition to the processor, the GPU, or video controller, has also become very combo. This is a Mali-T880. Multi-tasking is aided by 4GB of LPDDR3 memory, and 64GB of storage space is sure to be enough to store games for a while, but if you haven’t already, you can expand your storage with a memory card.

The Elephone's display is 6,0-inch with 2K resolution, which is higher than the resolution of HD or FHD displays that are common today. The hardware is powered by a 4000 mAh battery. By using this axi, we can achieve up to 10 hours of continuous operation.

The Elephone S8 has bull hardware, a wonderful display and a slightly stronger-than-average battery. The price is downright friendly compared to that. If you are looking for a mobile phone for gaming or VR goggles, you have found it!

ZTE AXON 7 >>>

zte_axon_7_2.jpg
Last week, ZTE announced that the Axon 7 will be withdrawn from the market, or more precisely, it will no longer be manufactured. However, this should not deter anyone from buying, because the Axon 7 is a special device with special capabilities and a ridiculously cheap price compared to its knowledge.

The phone has a Snapdragon 820 proci running at 2,15 GHz, and comes with 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage. There isn't much interesting in this so far, the specialty of the phone starts at the display. One of the positive surprises is that the panel is not based on the usual IPS, but on AMOLED technology. If that weren’t enough, it’s worth mentioning that ZTE didn’t bother with Full HD resolution, they immediately packed a 2K, i.e. 2560 x 1400 pixel resolution display into their phone.

The line of extras is far from over. There are two cameras in the phone. You don't have to be ashamed of the 8 megapixels on the front, but the 20 megapixel structure on the back promises really outstanding quality, if only because, according to the factory data, the aperture value is also very good, f / 1.8! Good optics and a good sensor are not enough to take good pictures with a phone, but they also know this in the ZTE workshop. For this reason, an optical and an electronic image stabilizer have also been built into the mobile to keep our images sharp.

In addition to the super display and super camera, super sound has also been built into the phone. This has been achieved by working on an AK4961 and an AK4490 sound processor to get the sound from the built-in stereo speaker in the right quality, and to record all kinds of noise under our videos in crystal clear quality.

The ZTE Axon 7 is elegant on the outside and super on the inside. The strong and special iron is well worth the price, whoever buys it for many years will still enjoy your phone, in addition, since ZTE is also a well-known manufacturer in Hungary, the sale will not be difficult.

UMIDIGI S2 Pro >>>>

umidigi_s2_pro_7.jpg

The UMIDIGI S2 Pro got the Helio P25, the display is FHD + 2160 x 1080 pixel Sharp panel. The cameras fit the category. There’s a 13 + 5 megapixel pair on the back, and surprisingly on the front we find a 16 megapixel camera. The latter is also needed because the manufacturer has built in advanced face recognition into the phone, and in my opinion, the minimum requirement for this is this camera.

At UMIDIGI, they decided not to be content with 32GB or even 64GB of storage, installing 6GB of ROM in addition to 128GB of RAM. At the manufacturer, they opted for a taboo, and without caring about the cost, they install a larger unit with a capacity of 5100 mAh, which makes it easy to achieve two days of charge-free operation under normal use.

The UMIDIGI S2 Pro is a very nice phone, which is probably its biggest advantage. We get a phone in a similar category cheaper than that. Of course, this doesn’t mean your purchase is a waste of money, but we recommend it especially if you’ve fallen in love with the exclusive look.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 >>>>>

xiaomi_mi_mix_2_1.jpg

This is the most expensive phone on this list, and it’s no coincidence. Xiaomi created a MIX style and MIX 2, albeit a little below expectations, followed the example of its predecessor. They’re whispering on the net lately about a wrinkled MIX that gets a more special look than MIX 2, but I wouldn’t even dare classify this information as rumor.

This is the phone that a lot of people crave, but it’s no wonder as it has become not only beautiful but also very powerful. The special feature of the mobile is the housing made of ceramic and metal parts. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a 5,99-inch FullHD screen, though the aspect ratio here is not 16: 9, but 18: 9, or if you prefer 2: 1, so the number of pixels is not 1920 x 1080 instead of 2160 × 1080. The pixel density of the panel thus became 403 ppi. The display has a contrast ratio of 1500: 1. The 835 GHz version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2,4 SoC works on the phone, paired with an Adreno 540 GPU. The mobile has 6GB of LPDDR4X memory and 128GB of UFS 2.1 flash memory. The battery capacity is 3400mAh, which supports Quick Charge 3.0 (9V / 2A) fast charging via the USB Type-C interface.

Since I am currently using such a phone, I can report first hand that although it costs a lot, it is really worth the price. It’s amazingly fast, amazingly beautiful, and the ceramic back gives it such an exclusive look that we don’t get it from any other device today, not even the ones we get much more expensive today.
