OlivePad VT100 - Android tablet from India
A tablet that looks promising is coming from India.
India, this mystical country is quite far from us. Few people are lucky enough to get there, we can only watch the exotic landscapes on TV. Of course, because the Discovery Channel only shows us the Taj Mahal and the artisans working on the street, India still has a huge industry. We have already been able to get to know many of their products, from the leather checker, which is only referred to as an "Indian bag" among Hungarian women, to the clothing products and the Maruti small cars that have been delivered to us for a long time, to the Tata vans that are still sold today.
Now India’s Olive Telecom can bring us the OlivePad VT100 in the increasingly popular tablet category.
Today, the manufacturer unveiled the OlivePad VT100 Android tablet, which will be on the shelves of Indian stores in August, but also announced that it would soon launch its product in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.
The parameters of the device are promising. At its heart is the 32-bit Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, which, according to data found on the Internet, ticks at 600 MHz, receiving 2 × 512 MB of memory for the system and the programs to be installed, which can be expanded with a memory card up to 32 GB. The display is 7 inches, TFT and capacitive, with a resolution of WVGA.
For starters, Android 2.1 gets the widget.
Of course, they included everything that we expect from such a "toy" these days. It has Bluetooth (A2DP), Wi-Fi (b/g only), GPS, G-sensor, and a not very impressive 3 megapixel autofocus camera.
The battery will be good in it (3240mAh). Thanks to this and the built-in GSM module, the promise is 400 hours of standby time and up to 1200 minutes of phone calls at a time.
The dimensions are 179.4 * 110 * 11.5 mm.
