The Geforce GTX 570 is around our necks

NVIDIA will release its latest card even before the 6900 Radeons.

There are more and more reports that NVIDIA is launching its Geforce GTX 8 video card, which is set to replace the Geforce Gtx 570, on December 470 this year. The soul of the novelty will be a modified graphics processor called GF-110. Of the 512 CUDA cores, only 480 will be active here, as one streaming multiprocessor (SM) will be disabled. Their frequency will be 1380 MHz, while the GPU will operate at 690 MHz. GDDR5 chips receive an effective clock speed of 3,8 GHz, but nothing is known about their volume yet. The novelty in terms of speed is said to bring the level of the Geforce GTX 480 at a lower power consumption. The value of the latter is otherwise not more than 215 watts.

It is also worth mentioning that if this unofficial information is correct, NVIDIA will launch its new product before the Radeon 6900 series, as the latter will start on December 13th.
