LG has won 12 innovation awards at this year’s International Consumer Electronics ShowLG’s consumer electronics, business solutions and consumer electronics products won nine categories.

 

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has awarded LG Electronics with 12 CES Innovation Awards for outstanding achievements in design and technology. These include, for example, the “Best Innovation” award, which LG earned in the video display category with a new 55-inch FULL LED HDTV that can also be connected to the Internet with three-dimensional capabilities.

LG’s 2011 award-winning products include LED LCD and plasma TVs, home theater systems, network Blu-ray players and monitors as well as washing machines and other home electronics. The novelties highlighted by the jury include LG's NANO FULL LED technology and NetCast 2.0 function for easy streaming of Internet content and applications.

The CES Innovation Awards are presented each year by a forum of industry-renowned designers, engineers and journalists who examine each product item by item based on user value, aesthetics, innovative design, quality, and the impact of the product on quality of life. The CES Innovation Awards, sponsored by the CEA and approved by the American Society of Industrial Designs, recognize advanced product innovations in terms of engineering design and engineering solutions.
