MGCOOL Explorer Pro test - a cheap 4 Ks sports camera

As with all our articles, the evaluation is still on the last page. let's hit the strings then!

Well, based on what was described on the previous pages, I hope no one thought this camera would make usable shots with 4K resolution. However, I was hoping that at least 2,7K of recordable quality recording would be made. It was made, but this assessment would certainly not be made by the manufacturer on the wall of glory.

The really big problem isn’t even with 4K and 2,7K shots. The big problem is that the quality doesn't really improve at 1080p and 720p either. I can't figure out why. On the one hand, it can be seen in the video that the plastic housing refracts light ugly, but this cannot yet explain the checkering due to compaction. When I watch the recordings, I feel like 1080p is not a real resolution, but an upscaled recording. Yet, in terms of hardware quality, I strongly doubt it would be. The only thing I can think of as the cause of the error is the software that drives the camera. If, on the other hand, this is the case, the only hope may be that by improving the firmware, you will be able to improve the quality over time. Of course, if there will be an update.

As I guessed, there is also quite a lack of shock protection. Unfortunately, most sports involve shocks. We ski, we drive, we ride motorcycles, it almost doesn’t matter, vibration detection would be a very useful feature, it would be.

Since I’ve used a sports camera while riding a bike, I know what accessories come with it. Unfortunately, the accessories for the MGCOOL Explorer Pro are not what I used to be. Think not of GoPro accessories here, but of cheaper camera accessories like the one in this test. I was forced to replace the MGCOOL accessories because I was unable to tighten the fasteners so much that they would not move from the shock. The accessories also include a waterproof housing, which, as I indicated above, refracts sunlight very ugly in front of the lens. I haven't experienced anything like this with other cameras. Let’s say at least the water resistance was there, you could videotape in the pool underwater.

From what you’ve read so far, you can guess I’m not going to glorify the camera in the skies. In short, I can judge that MGCOOL Explorer Pro is only on behalf of pro. True, it’s only priced at $ 39 right now, and if we want to be honest, that’s exactly what he knows. Buy it when you have no money for anything else, and that applies not only to this camera, but to everything they offer for a similar price. I dare recommend it for purchase if you don’t want to capture summer memories with this, you just want a few shots where you can show your buddies how big of a king you are on the field. possibly if you intend for the child during the vacation to play with him and catch the taste of the videotaping. perfect for these tasks, and for everything else there a MasterCard Moroccan camera borrowed from a neighbor.

To make you feel, the serious problem here is not with this camera, but with some manufacturers trying to convince us customers that we can have a 50K camera for under $ 4. Well, you can’t, in fact, have to say that we don’t swim a normal 1080p but good quality recording for under $ 80-100. This is the limit to normal quality FHD recording. The price of usable 4K cameras starts at somewhere around $ 150, so don’t chase pink dreams, for $ 39 you’ll only get a camera that’s just usable and suitable for buddies, just like the MGCOOL Explorer Pro.

So, if, despite the above, you want something for yourself or your child to video on during your vacation or on the beach in the pool, you can buy the camera by clicking here: MGCOOL Explorer Pro 4K 30fps Sports Camera - BLACK
