They help Windows 10 with artificial intelligence

Although Windows 10 has improved a lot in this area (e.g. specifying the active period), even now there may be situations where a reboot after an upgrade causes inconvenience. Well, we now (gladly) let you know that Microsoft is working hard on further refinements, where artificial intelligence is already being given a major role. The idea is that Windows 10 will be able to predict more accurately than before when the system is idling when a necessary restart causes as little disruption as possible. It is important to emphasize that this predictive model does not simply monitor when the user is not using the computer. Engineers have ventured much further in this regard, as Windows 10 also tries to figure out the length of the expected break, i.e. it “decipheres” whether we went for just a cup of coffee or a longer rest period. Exact details were not shared, but Microsoft said the system produced promising results in internal tests.

Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider testing program, also revealed that the technology is already active in preliminary versions of the system, and is expected to be included in the main version in the near future. Of course, the developers are happy to receive feedback from users this time as well, and also noted that thanks to the cloud infrastructure, the model can be updated with minimal investment of time, so continuous improvement is expected.
