SonyEricsson is discontinued

Sony will be the sole owner of the company.

There have been several rumors in recent weeks that SonyEricsson will be discontinued. Now it turns out the rumor is true: Sony will pay Ericsson more than $ 1 billion for its stake, so the company will be 100% owned by Sony. 

The process will certainly not be completed until the first half of 2012. With the acquisition, Sony will not only own the entire company, but will also be granted patent rights for five wireless technologies. There is no information yet that the news will come in the future under the name Sony or SonyEricsson.
