The image quality of the phone is good

Increasingly, the demand for digital cameras is being pushed back by smartphones in the UK, with people taking pictures of the latter, contenting themselves with lower quality videos. 

 

mobiles In the island nation, digital camera sales have shrunk by 29 per cent in the last five years, from £ 2011 million in 598 to £ 2006 million in 843, according to The Daily Telegraph. According to a survey by Mintel, 8 per cent of UK adults - 3 million people - don’t think it’s likely that if their digital camera breaks down, they’ll buy a new one instead, relying more on their mobile phone to make videos.
According to the data, 80 per cent of Britons have a digital camera, but only 40 per cent of them shoot with it alone. 45 percent of the adult population uses their smartphones as cameras. As for traditional - magnetic tape - cameras, only 8 percent record with them alone. Of those who buy a digital camera, 39 percent bought a new one to replace their old camera, 34 percent to take a vacation, and 18 percent to record a special event, such as a wedding.
21 per cent of Britons agree that a smartphone is a smarter buy in the long run, while 71 per cent of those who firmly believe that cameras offer better quality than phones.
