The smallest of the machines on sale today, the 13,3-inch version of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is now available in two configurations. What they have in common is that they are both equipped with the latest series of Intel Core i5-7200U processors, in addition to which we find 8 GB of DDR4 memory and 256 GB of PCD Express-coupled SSD storage. What makes them different is the graphics accelerator. The cheaper ones work with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 620, and the more expensive ones work with the NVIDIA GeForce MX 150.

With the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air, the manufacturer competes with Apple machines, of course, Windows. With an extremely thin thickness of 1,48 centimeters and a low weight of 1,3 kilograms, these machines beat the hearts of all users of tech mania and ultra-exclusive products. The fold-up display thickness on these machines is just 5,59 millimeters, which remains durable thanks to the full metal housing.

As with all Xiaomi notebooks, these machines have large keys that make typing easier. Other elements of the hardware are also outstanding. WiFi supports 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac standards, Bluetooth 4.1. The display is a very good full HD, i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution IPS panel. With a built-in 5400 mAh battery, no less than 8 hours of standby time is achieved, and a fast charge takes up to two hours from zero to full charge. The sound quality is outstanding in my own experience, and it's quite surprising how strong and clear the sounds come from them with the Dolby Audio Premium Sorrund technology supported by bass enhancement.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro

The line isn’t over yet, as the larger Mi Notebook Pro, unveiled last fall, is also here.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is also a notebook that I think everyone wants. So far, any of my acquaintances saw it right away, they wanted to know what kind of machine it was, and in fact, one of them had already ordered his own. No wonder this machine is playing in the most expensive category and is much cheaper than its domestically available competitors with similar capabilities. The machine comes with the latest series of Intel Core i5-8250U or Intel Core i7-8550U processors, along with 8 or 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB PCI Express interface SSD. The machine also has an empty PCI Express connector, so we can expand the storage space later if we don't find enough.

The machine is surprisingly thin, just one and a half inches thick. An acquaintance of mine told me that the notebook cooler he uses is much thicker than my notebook. The back is made of magnesium alloy, which is extremely rigid, so despite its ridiculously thin design, it does not squat. Here, too, the keys are larger than usual, they are perfect for me to write articles - I am also writing this recommendation on this one.

In terms of hardware, we get essentially similar capabilities to the 13-inch machine. What’s different is of course the display, which here is 15,6 inches, has a resolution of Full HD and is based on IPS technology. The battery is also larger. The 8000 mAh unit can be energized on a USb Type-C port with a quick charger. The charging time is a maximum of two hours, so in return, in my experience, cheese, under normal use, is enough to plug into a charger once a day.

If you haven’t bought a Xiaomi notebook so far because you found it expensive, then your time has come!

I use every forum to promote the Xiaomi Notebook Pro, as the machine has been serving me for quite a few months now, and what can I say, I’ve never had such a great portable notebook! Of course, the Core i7 processor and 256GB of SSD storage have to be paid for, and it can’t be cheap to produce a magnesium frame or aluminum casing either. So the machine is not cheap, of course, it is not only compared to other Chinese notebooks, because it is much cheaper than domestic prices.

If you liked the machine but didn’t want to pay more than $ 1000 for it, now you might be knocking down the newcomer. Xiaomi’s new laptop has undergone some leaning in terms of capabilities, but nothing major has been done to reduce the value in use. The new machine has a 15,6-inch full HD display, the processor is an Intel Core i5, but already from the eighth generation. The machine also has 4 GB of memory, but it can even be expanded thanks to the double memory slot. The operating system can be stored on the built-in 128GB SSD drive, and our files can be stored on a terabyte traditional hard drive next to it. The machine also got a dedicated VGA controller in the form of the NVIDIA MX110 chip, which will not be enough for serious games, but we can even play on the machine at a basic level.

Of course, the new notebook is a bit odd to the Notebook Pro, but this disadvantage is somehow an advantage, as this is due to the fact that memory is not soldered on the motherboard. The hard drive also requires some space, and its mass is bigger, among other things, the new machine is roughly half a pint heavier than its more expensive boss. What is left with this cool cooling solution is that it is very similar to the Pro version, but it may well be that the same solution is included.
