Chuwi has pulled hard into the industry, it seems they want to take the entire tablet market.
In the past, I have recommended a Chuwi tablet for gamers. It also had a ten-core proci, but the display is only 8,4 inches, but has a 2K resolution. The Chuwi Hi Pad is also made for players, but following a completely different concept. Moreover, we can safely say that this machine is a real gamer machine, while the smaller one is more of a general purpose structure.
The Chuwi Hi Pad is therefore 10 inches, but its resolution is "only" FHD, i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels. The 2K resolution display is good, but a bit unnecessary for gaming. All the more so, because if the resolution is higher, you need more powerful hardware to be able to serve this number of pixels. The Chuwi Hi Pad, on the other hand, had the pleasant situation that although the resolution was lower, the hardware packed into the machine became stronger.
The Chuwi Hi Pad is home to a MediaTek Helio X27 headunit, which can be seen as an enhancement to the Helio X20. The gameplay-relevant parts in it, like the CPU and GPU, are the same, but they’ve all raised their clocks. Of the eight cores in the processor, the two stronger and faster ARM Cortex-A72s run at 20 GHz compared to the 2,1 GHz of the Helio X2,7, but the speed of the 4-4 ARM Cortex-A53 cores arranged in the lower two clusters has also increased. faster units from 1,85 GHz to 2 GHz, while slower power-saving clusters from 1,4 to 1,6 GHz. The quad-core ARM Mali-T880 GPU accelerated to 95 MHz, with its clock speed rising from 780 MHz to 875 MHz.
So the new machine got a physically larger display, but with a lower resolution, while the hardware underneath became much more powerful. This means a really pleasant performance overall. The icing on the cake is that the larger engine room can hold a larger battery, so the hardware can absorb power from a unit with a capacity of 7000 mAh.
