Even Twitter can reveal our whereabouts

We can safely say that web2 is one of the biggest successes of Twitter, so it’s no surprise when it’s developed. From now on, micro-bloggers can describe even more about themselves.

The new service is called Twitter Places, is available from both twitter.com and mobile.twitter.com and supports four browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer. So if you are writing about a GPS-equipped device, you can specify where you are in the world. It will probably be difficult to start in Hungary at first, but it's really a nice feature, as we can see where our friends are right now, so we can save unnecessary questions or even phone calls. Of course, it will be its biggest success in Western countries, as everyone there already has a mobile internet, and Twitter is also much more widespread.

Even Twitter can reveal our whereabouts

Twitter Places will be available in 65 countries within a week.
