LG VX8500: Chocolate Mobile for the US
The Korean company presented its latest "Chocolate" design slide phone, which was developed specifically for the expectations of the American market.
The 176 × 220 pixel TFT display of the phone, which can only be used within a CDMA network, can display 262 colors, while its 1,3 megapixel camera can take pictures with a maximum resolution of 1280 × 1024, and is also capable of recording video films. The device's 128 MB internal memory can be further expanded with a microSD card. The Li-Ion battery provides 180 minutes of talk time and 192 hours of standby time.
The VX8500 is only 2G, so we can only browse WAP via GPRS, but it can also transfer data via Bluetooth. It weighs 83 grams and measures 94 × 44 × 15 millimeters. The mobile is also equipped with a 1000-seat phonebook, MP3 player and Java support. Its navigation button reminds us of Apple's iPod media player. From the design point of view, the device can present practically nothing new and unusual, it has inherited the well-proven and successful design of chocolate mobiles.
