Apple is recalling some of the batteries in MacBook Pro notebooks

Apple is recalling it, citing a quality flaw, and of course replacing the batteries in 15-inch MacBook Pro notebooks for free.

Of the laptops based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics controller, only the 15,4-inch version produced between February and May this year will be affected by this unpleasant recall.

Not all of the batteries with model number A1175 are involved in the case, it must be examined whether the 12-digit serial number ended in U7SA, U7SB or U7SC. If so, it needs to be replaced, even though Apple says these units aren’t dangerous, won’t light up, laptops won’t overheat from them, they simply didn’t meet the company’s strict quality standards.
