Paul Otellini has been with Intel since 1974 and has been CEO since 2005. Although Intel has been in business for 45 years, Otellini was only the fifth of the company’s CEOs. During his tenure, the company has surpassed all previous successes, earning record revenues and profits.

Paul Otellini will retire in May 2013. The remaining six months will allow for a smooth transition, during which time the company will need to find someone to take over as leader. Otellini will remain an advisor to Intel even after his retirement.
