Phones under HUF 30 no longer represent the absolute entry level, but they do not even belong to the middle category. It’s a kind of intermediate area where everything from industrial waste to devices with surprisingly good capabilities can be found. As every month, we try to help you buy a good phone cheaply and not regret your decision later. Let’s see the five devices we’re bringing to your attention this month!

1. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A

We’ve talked about this phone many times, and we’re still going to. It is simply unmissable from this list. True, it’s not a powerhouse, but anyone who has used a Xiaomi phone knows that the manufacturer’s handsets are perhaps the best on offer.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is an absolute entry-level Xiaomi phone. The display is made with the old school aspect ratio, i.e. 16: 9, 5,5 inches diagonal. The resolution of the phone is HD in its category. Significantly, the central unit has only four cores, of which at least one relatively strong Snapdragon chip is included. The system has 2 GB of memory and 16 GB of built-in storage. Of course, the phone has everything on earth, so we get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, an accelerometer, a compass, a gravity sensor and a gyroscope, and GPS, GLONASS and Beidou support for navigation. The good news is that this phone also supports the B20 800 MHz LTE band used in Hungary!

Interestingly, the phone is now cheaper from a European warehouse than if we ordered it from China, which is good because we are guaranteed not to have to pay duties and VAT, and luckily we can be in our hands within 3-7 working days.

2. Vernee Thor E

Vernee's phone is not a new player in the market, so you could meet it in our recommendations. Although we offered it last year, it doesn’t detract from its values, which also shows that it’s still on our list.

The Vernee phone has many valuable features that have made it one of the best-selling handsets in the manufacturer’s range. Here, for example, is the processor right away, which is pretty muscular in this category with its eight cores and 1,3 GHz clock. Then there’s the memory, which is not the minimum of 2, but the already perfectly usable 3 GB. The storage also remained at 16 GB, which we think is already basic.

The device’s display is 5 inches, which will be loved by those who don’t tweak battery-sized phones. The resolution here is also HD, like the previous Xiaomi device. Another interesting feature of the phone is the battery with a multi-core processor, which has a capacity of no less than 5020 mAh. This size is pretty much out of the category, upwards, of course.

Interestingly, this phone is also cheaper now from European stock than if we ordered it from China. The stock is probably not very large, so if you want to be the owner of such a phone within 7 working days, hurry up!

3. Ulefone S8 Pro

Ulefone’s phone can’t be called a champion in terms of hardware, but one thing is definitely the best, and these are its cameras.

The sleek, traditional-designed phone features a quad-core MediaTek MTK 6737 headunit, along with 2GB of memory and 16GB of built-in storage. The size of the display is average, 5,3 inches, and the resolution here is HD, ie 1280 x 720 pixels.

The average phone with a 3000 mAh battery has three cameras. The front is a 5 megapixel self-timer and the back is a 13 + 5 megapixel combo. I know well, these days it is no longer outstanding, but it can be said to be really good in this price range. Of course, the device also knows everything a modern mobile phone needs to know here, and even a little more, because we can find a fingerprint reader in it, which is not yet common under HUF 30.

Like the phones so far, Ulefone is the cheapest in stock in Europe now, so everything you could have read above is valid, ie it arrives quickly, within 7 working days, and you are guaranteed not to have to pay VAT or customs!

4. OUKITEL U15 Pro

This is the phone that we recommend to your attention from this list, at least on the outside. It features a classic design, a curved housing that tapers at the edges and convincing hardware.

We return to the eight-core with Oukitel's phone. The phone runs MediaTek's 6753 multi-core unit at 1,3 GHz. It has 3GB of memory and no less than 32GB of storage, making it stand out strongly from the field so far. The display is a 5,5-inch HD resolution unit based on IPS technology.

We also find all kinds of necessary skills in this mobile phone, so for example, the fingerprint reader is also missing. The battery has an average capacity of 3000 mAh, and the cameras have fallen victim to savings, that is, to get a strong processor in the phone, but the price should not be too high. To that end, it only has a 2- megapixel camera on the front and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. Mobile is really not bad anyway. The full metal case, memory and storage came from Samsung, and the display came from Sharp, so it’s pretty much there in hardware.

5. LEAGOO KIICAA MIX

Yes, it is still here, my personal favorite, the LEAGOO KIICAA MIX, is still available for purchase. I praised it so much that one of our readers wrote an article about their own phone, so it turned out I didn’t accidentally praise the cell phone nose to mouth!

In terms of hardware, the LEAGOO KIICAA MIX is the pinnacle of this category. The display is 5,5 inches and not HD, but already has FullHD, i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The central unit here is also eight-core, but it no longer runs at 1,3 but at 1,5 GHz, and it is also more modern than in previous phones. The memory in this mobile is also 3 GB and the built-in storage is 32 GB, which is quite large.

In addition, the LEAGOO phone is the only modern, frameless phone in the field. The battery has an average capacity of 3000 mAh, the cameras are a bit better than average, for example 13 + 2 megapixels on the back. The phone is still a grand prize for this price.
