Xiaomi opens not only stores but also factories abroad
In India, for example, three new plants are being handed over.
In addition to the six plants so far, it is planned to open three more, and even to negotiate with Foxcon so that in the future not only assembly but also printed circuits can be made in India. These investments are all made with the consent of the State of India as part of the Made in India program. Utilizing current capacity, Xiaomi already manufactures 95 percent of the phones sold in India locally, and thanks to the new plants, it is planned that by the end of 2018, one hundred percent of the circuit boards will also be manufactured locally.
