We tested: Xiaomi MIJIA automatic soap dispenser - no touch

We should not miss the Chinese brand in bathroom accessories, but now there is a soap (foam) dispenser.

Xiaomi Mijia Soap Dispenser

I consider the soap dispenser to be a great tool, it has long been an integral part of my bathroom. Pumped devices aren’t bad either when compared to old AMO soap - there’s one downside, though, that I never liked. If a person’s hands are dirty and the dispenser needs to be pressed to get a liquid detergent, we also mix it up. But not with this great structure where you just have to put your hand under the dosing head and get a dose of foam. You could note here that okay, but the water needs to be opened, then the tap will be dirty - but for this problem Xiaomi ZAJIA Automatic Sense Infrared Induction Water Saving DeviceI recommend that opens / closes the water when holding the hand. Now that I've solved this too (welcome 🙂), let's get back to the original topic! So thanks to the infrared sensor, we get enough foam from the soap dispenser to wash our hands, and it doesn’t let out the material until we hold our hands under it. So you don't have to worry about smudging anything with the liquid, or even stuff stuffing out of it when you don't want it anymore - which isn't the most beautiful sight. I paid direct attention (and I will) to write foam, because we don't get soap or some liquid in our hands, but HAB, because their finished ones convert the liquid in the tank into such a state. It’s worth noting quickly here that the dispenser is supposed to be refilled with any in-store liquid soap. If the soap is thick, it is advisable to refill the tank with a ratio of 70% water to 30% soap.

After the “brief” introduction, let’s look at the substance. Since I didn’t know what I was going to test, I was surprised by the size of the package, which was exactly 13 x 9,6 x 25,50 centimeters and weighed 896 grams. At first I just blinked, but immediately after unpacking, I knew it was a product of my favorite manufacturer, as it carries the trademarks of Xiaomi. I was given a white column with Chinese punctuation that would say something - if I understood - but luckily on the side it was in English what the box was hiding. When opened, however, the well-used use of space and minimalism is accepted, every millimeter was used, so true to their habit, there is exactly as much space as it should have to fit everything. The package contains a bottle (250 ml) of antibacterial liquid, the dosing head itself, as well as 3 AA batteries required for its operation and the Chinese description. The device itself is 10 x 6,6 x 20,5 centimeters, slightly oval in shape, which narrows nicely towards the top. The head is slightly curved - exactly 13,5 degrees, so thanks to the ergonomic design we can comfortably lower our hands. It weighs only 250 grams, but this structure, the tank is approx. it adds the same amount, so when ready for use, the whole accessory is about half a pound.

To set up the unit, place the device in a liquid-filled container, and then remove the three cover panels after removing the back cover. All we have to do is press the power button, which causes the LED at the top to turn white. With all of this, we can use it, which is not only simple but also fast. There is no need to push, an infrared sensor is watching at the bottom of the head, so as soon as you hold your hand in, the sensor detects it in 0,25 seconds and you get a dose of foam. Although a small buzzing sound is heard during operation, luckily it's discreet so no one can complain about it. The texture of the foam is closest to my foam bath, which is the result of the 12: 1 air-soap ratio. The liquid added at the factory contains a neutral, natural essential oil and can kill five types of bacteria, namely, 8099, ATCC 6538, ATCC 1542, ATCC 10231, ATTC 13311 - they are ugly anyway, so I say good if they are not with us. Anybody more knowledgeable in this subject could really tell you exactly what they mean, but the result of my search was not 100% credible, but I don't want to mislead anyone with false information.

Now I will share with you my experience this way after a few days of use and as my first such device. Like I said, getting started is a breeze, the gadgets are ready to go right after you turn them on. It does its job surprisingly fast, it adds enough foam to clean my hands. Due to its size, you don't need a lot of space, it can fit just over a toothbrush and it looks great. I particularly like the resulting liquid is greenish in color and fits well into the white housing. I admit, I was so pleased that the first few times as a kid, I enjoyed acting and I guarantee they will enjoy washing their hands with it. Let's just refill it because they'll be constantly trading around it. Anyway, after only a week of use, I found that while the 250 ml can seem small, but in a household with 2-3, it will still last smoothly for 2-3 months or more - of course, it depends a lot on usage.

Let's turn a little back to its operation! Fortunately, there is no need to drill - carve, the structure, which has been rated IPX3, stops on its own foot, which means that it is protected against water spray. So it can be used anywhere, be it in the bathroom with the sink and / or next to it, but also in the kitchen. When operating and turning on, the LED on the front panel flashes white, so we know if it works, but if we turn it off or the battery is low, we get feedback in red.

Overall, I am completely satisfied with this product as well. The kit contains everything you need to use, the use of materials and the quality of the assembly are not to be missed, and the design is sleek in every home. This is not to be doubted, the product has been awarded the “Good Design Award” by 2018.
