Xiaomi piles us up with so much wonderful stuff that we’ve almost been waiting for a treadmill to be launched. Next time you can come the elliptical trainer, the exercise bike, then a smart bench press.
Well, we don’t expect these either, just as we didn’t expect on the treadmill, but it arrived and became good stuff as usual. we start there to be small. But really it, when folded, does not take up half a square meter of the apartment, its height is also more than 10 inches. And half open, that is, if we run - or rather jog - on it, we do it just 5 inches from the floor.
The structure is not only small but also light. The whole frame system is made of aluminum alloy, so cakli-pali is 28 kilos in all. Of course, it is not lucky to lift such a weight, so at Xiaomin they also gave the bench two wheels, with the help of which we can easily slide it under the bed when folded.
As I wrote above, the bench will be more good just for jogging or walking because the maximum adjustable speed is 6 while the minimum is 0,5 kilometers per hour. The drive will require a 220-volt power supply as well as a converter for the plug, which is Chinese standard. That, of course, shouldn’t be an obstacle, we get such a converter for a few dollars. Another important data is that the maximum load capacity of the bench is 90 kilograms.
Like almost all Xiaomi products, this bench is smart. It can be integrated into the Xiaomi Mi Home application, but can also be controlled using the included remote control. The cleverness is not only in this, but also in the fact that the machine can operate in two modes. For beginners, the manufacturer recommends the fixed speed mode, the speed of which can of course be adjusted on the fly with the remote control. For advanced joggers, the variable speed mode has been created, in which the bench senses that we are close to the head or end. If you accelerate automatically for the former, if you slow down automatically for the back half.
The Xiaomi treadmill is fun, smart, fits in a small space, so it’s really practical if you don’t feel like having the time or time to jog out of the apartment. Unfortunately, the coolness has a price, and the Chinese company shows it on the price tag. The price of the bench is 530 dollars, which corresponds to roughly 147 thousand forints at today's exchange rate.
