Two new projectors have been added to Canon's XEED product line

Canon has announced that it has expanded its range of built-in XEED projectors with the SX6000 and WX6000.

The new projectors offer excellent brightness (6000 and 5700 lumens, respectively), a range of optional lenses, such as a new Ultra Long Zoom lens, and a range of features that make installation and maintenance as easy as possible. The models are designed to fit well with a wide range of corporate, exhibition and educational environments where a permanently installed, high-brightness projector with outstanding image quality and vibrant, lifelike colors is required. The SX6000 offers native SXGA + (1400 x 1050 pixels) resolution at 4: 3 aspect ratio, while the WX6000 offers WXGA + (1440 x 900 pixels) resolution at 16:10 aspect ratio.
Outstanding image quality

The Canon XEED SX6000 and WX6000 use an enhanced version of Canon’s unique AISYS technology with a new LCOS display panel. The combination of the AISYS optical system and LCOS technology results in even better brightness, image quality and even clearer colors. Canon’s XEED models project “true brightness colors,” meaning different colors appear with almost the same intensity as white.
Both projectors build on Canon's long lens design experience and, in addition to Canon's existing lens family, will be compatible with the new Ultra Long Zoom lens (available from Q2012 1,95). The new lens provides a 100x zoom, so system integrators can count on a projection distance of 254 to 7,6 meters for a standard 15 ”(88 cm) image. In addition, it is possible to create a projection distance of up to 600 meters with a maximum image diameter of 15,24 ”(XNUMX m). The lens is designed to minimize brightness even at longer projection distances. In addition, Canon lenses eliminate blur, distortion and chromatic aberration almost perfectly, providing the best possible image quality.

Easy installation and maintenance

Remotely controlled motorized zoom, focus and lens movement (0,5 pixel accuracy) means the display can be adjusted from the auditorium where the installer sees the projected image best, and the projectors are great for single and multi-projector systems , such as for 3D projection, in towers, fitted systems, and domes. 360-degree projection means images can also be projected from the floor, ceiling and walls to create an immersive experience. The projector is especially suitable for creating custom surfaces in exhibitions, museums or conference centers. Test patterns are easily accessible with just a single button on the SX6000 and WX6000 remote controls, helping with accurate setup, especially where multiple devices are used simultaneously. Both projectors are also compatible with the new wired remote control, which can be used in environments where the device is out of range of infrared light or where infrared technology must be turned off to protect the projectors from possible interference.
The XEED SX6000 and XEED WX6000 will be available from the fourth quarter of 2012. A “medical” version of both models (with built-in DICOM image mode) will be available soon. The new Ultra Long Zoom lens will be available from the fourth quarter and will be compatible with the full range of Canon XEED mountable models.
