The number of subscribers to the MinDig TV Extra service has reached one hundred thousand

The digital switchover is progressing well at digital terrestrial television services operated by Antenna Hungária: the number of users of the free MinDig TV service exceeded 350 households, and the number of MinDig TV Extra subscribers offering pay packages reached the milestone of one hundred thousand.alwaystv logo With this result, MinDig TV Extra, launched three years ago, ranks fifth among domestic pay-TV service providers. Following the analogue switch-off, further significant improvements are expected, the MinDig TV Extra Family package will be available throughout the country, the number of available television channels may increase and the product portfolio may be expanded with new services.

As is well known, the National Media and Communications Authority published the switch-off dates of the analogue terrestrial television networks in mid-March, the process will be implemented in two stages: the first phase will end on 2013 July 31 in Budapest, Győr, Kab-hegy, Szeged and Szentes tax districts. analogue terrestrial television broadcasting, replaced by digital terrestrial television broadcasting, MinDig TV. In the second phase, analogue broadcasting will be discontinued in the other half of the country (Northern Hungary, the North-Eastern Great Plain and Southern Transdanubia) on 2013 October 31.

Offering seven free digital TV channels, MinDig TV and the MinDig TV Extra Basic Package can now be reached by 98% of the population using a room or roof antenna, and digital terrestrial broadcasts can be received from 65 locations.
