Screenshots of Firefox 8It’s likely that Firefox 8 will get a whole new look.

Engineer responsible for designing the Firefox user interface revealed Mozilla's plans. Nowadays, there is a clear trend that defines the user interface of browsers. The goal is to minimize and increase the useful image area, as we do not want to see the browser, but the website.

Firefox 8 takes over the Chrome omnibox solution. This means that there is no separate title bar and search box, but you can also start searches from the title bar.

The design of the buttons to help you browse also changes, but the most striking news can be seen in full-screen mode. In this case, the number of buttons is further reduced and the title bar is aligned with the tabs. The design seems reasonable and practical with a widescreen display. The screenshots also show the so-called Home Tab, which replaces the home page and provides users with a configurable interface where browser extensions, news, weather forecasts, history, tabs and many other useful options and services can be displayed.

Subjective, but the Mac OS X version of Firefox seems more sophisticated, advanced, and user-friendly than the Windows version. The gear button at the end of the title bar is tasteful. The settings will appear in this drop-down menu.

According to Mozilla, we can try the novelties later this year.
