Pictured is the Motorola Xoom 2Its predecessor, the Xoom, was a big rival to Apple before its release, but sales figures weren’t downright convincing. Now here’s the Xoom 2, from which we get two sizes right away.

Both the 10,1-inch Xoom 2 and the 8,2-inch Xoom 2 Media Edition have Gorilla Glass protection and an extremely thin profile. So much so that the "thickness" of the smaller model is the same as the iPhone 4. An official review has not been published yet, so we can only rely on the pictures, which show that the back panel will have a 5 megapixel camera, while the front panel will have optics with an unknown resolution. In addition, you can find mini USB/HDMI ports, and the Power and volume control buttons are placed on the slanted back of the devices. The new Xooms also prominently represent it, it is possible to design something different from Apple's tablet, despite Samsung's accusations.

Both models will run Android 3.2 and arrive in early 2012. With what hardware? That’s a good question, but we probably don’t have to be afraid of Motorola. Rather, success will depend on the marketing work spent.
