The attractive appearance of the Sony NEX-5R also hides features that were only available in multi-million dollar professional machines a few years ago. The camera is equipped with the photography and modern networking features typical of DSLRs, and the camera's capabilities can also be enhanced with downloadable applications.

With a 16,1-megapixel camera, you can take professional photos, and its light sensitivity, which can be rolled up to an ISO value of 25600, results in good images in virtually dawn and dark environments. The NEX-5R is the first Sony machine with interchangeable lenses to use Fast Hybrid AF, which combines phase and contrast detection. “DSLR-type” focusing is especially useful when shooting at 10 frames per second for fast-moving subjects.

The camera's LCD touch screen can be rotated 180 degrees, so the NEX-5R is also suitable for taking your own portrait. And the switchable digital level meter allows you to keep the images completely horizontal when photographing landscapes and buildings. The NEX-5R also lets you shoot detail-packed Full HD videos with continuous focus.

Of the Sony alpha interchangeable lenses, the NEX-5R is also the first in that the built-in wireless technology allows you to easily share, save, view images, so you can transfer images to a smartphone, tablet or even a television.

The other member of the series, the NEX-6, also includes the technical innovations that are characteristic of the NEX-5R, so that, among other things, integrated wifi on this machine allows you to easily send pictures and videos to the free PlayMemories Mobile app. for mobile phones and tablets (also available for Android and iOS). Images can also be transferred to PCs and DLNA compliant televisions. Downloadable PlayMemories applications also allow you to improve your camera's capabilities.

The new SLT-A99 is the Japanese manufacturer's first full-frame semi-transparent SLR camera for professional and serious amateur photographers. The soul of the machine is a newly developed 24,3 megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor, which in cooperation with the BIONZ image processor ensures a high level of imaging for still and moving images.
