The Phenom 9600 Black Edition proved to be a surprisingly good tuning subject.

A Phenom 9600 ON Its 2,3 GHz clock with air cooling was upgraded to 790 MHz on a DFI Lanparty UT 2FX-M3258R motherboard - 200 × 11,5 instead of 224,69 × 14,5. For comparison, it is worth mentioning Intel's 2,4 GHz quad-core, the Core 2 Quad Q6600, which is also a very good tuning base, with fan cooling, the clock can be raised to ~ 3,6 GHz.
