The Z550 variant carries on a tradition once well established in Intel's ranks, ie it wants to prevail in its lack of a better clock: the unit, now operating at 2 GHz, unfortunately has a single physical core, but is fully compatible with the chipset used so far. despite power, it does not exceed 2,4 watts. There may be a much brighter future ahead of the other processor, called the Z515, which with its 1,2 GHz clock can be embossed primarily when built into small mobile devices. When designing the central unit, the main consideration was to drastically reduce power consumption, which was by no means a useless endeavor: the Z515 scales to 800 MHz, scaling up to 0,65 watts, but not asking for more than 1,4 watts at maximum speed. ! With such parameters, it is almost an envelope that the technology represented by the Z515 will soon gain a foothold in the mobile phone and PDA segment, which, in addition to giving a huge boost to the entire industry, will bring significant benefits to end users due to the disappearance of architectural differences. .
