The number of cybercrimes has increased significantly

In Hungary, about 900 adults fell victim to online crime last year, which is 21 percent more than a year earlier, the biggest misuse was with bank cards, and the attacks caused a total loss of HUF 21 billion to the victims. 

Symantec's consumer business, Norton, in cooperation with its partner Symmetria Kft. And the Budapest Police Headquarters, summed up the cybercrime situation in recent years at a press conference in Budapest on Tuesday: according to the data, the number of number of public reports of online abuse in 2009.

In the case of online crime, the police comply with the Criminal Code. distinguishes cases based on: attacks on the system, internet fraud, phishing, copyright crimes, other hacking, harassment, credit card abuse and pedophilia.
