Improving sales figures at Apple
Apple on Wednesday released its second-quarter statistics.
In the past three months, up to and including June, Apple sold 1 Macintosh computers and 327 iPod portable music players, an increase of 000 percent and 8 percent, respectively, over the same period last year. Apple CEO Steve Jobs also said 111 percent of Macintosh desktops sold were equipped with an Intel processor.
In monetary terms, the $ 320 million after-tax profit a year ago was augmented by an additional $ 152 million.
