Miskolc residents can apply for laptops until January 17

Applications for the original deadline were received by thousands of households, but more than ten thousand people in the customer center inquired about the application in person. 

The Program Steering Committee therefore decided to extend the submission deadline until 2014 January 17.

On November 2013, 22, the Ministry of National Development announced the Digital Community Program in Miskolc. The initiative aims to significantly reduce digital illiteracy and improve employment opportunities for people living in the area.

The pilot project, which is unique in Europe, is open to 17 laptops. The conditions of participation have been determined by the Ministry of National Development and the City of Miskolc so that residents who cannot enter the digital world on their own due to the limitations of their financial background can join the program. Future winners undertake to use the tool entrusted to their care responsibly and properly.
