New Samsung GDDR4 memories

Even though the two big manufacturers don’t really want to switch to GDDR4 modules.

For the time being, NVIDIA prefers to use chips under the previous generation standard, while AMD is struggling to use GDDR4 modules. However, Samsung is left cold by the facts, nicely increasing the clock speed of its GDDR4 memories.

Chips with code K4U52324QE are available on the following frequencies:

• 1,1 GHz real (2,2 GHz effective) clock signal
• 1,2 GHz real (2,4 GHz effective) clock signal
• 1,4 GHz real (2,8 GHz effective) clock signal

Presumably, they can also easily reach the 3 GHz effective clock.
