New IBM chip for faster wireless transmission

IBM announced Monday that a new chip has been developed for faster wireless data transfer.

The chip is based on the IEEE 802.15.3c standard, which allows communication within 5-10 meters. It uses the 30-300 GHz portion of the radio frequency range to transfer more data at higher speeds, allowing you to send high-definition video between your DVD player and TV, for example. The speed of the new chips can reach up to 1,4 or 1,5 Gbps transmission.

Detailed description of the standard here It is located.

The chip is shipped in an IBM unit package that includes a built-in antenna, reducing its cost and power consumption.
