Fujitsu has developed space-time data processing technology

Fujitsu Laboratories Limited has introduced a new space-time data processing technology that can quickly and accurately search for areas of potential user interest based on the latitude and longitude of a geographic position.

Fujitsu has developed space-time data processing technology

The technology, developed by Fujitsu Laboratories, accurately identifies areas where potentially interesting events / happenings may occur and performs the operation approximately sixty times faster than commercially available data mining solutions.

With the development of GPS and RFID technology in recent years, it has become possible to collect location data of people and vehicles en masse, and there is a growing interest in introducing new services that utilize such data. Utilizing professionally collected, high-volume data requires exceptional data processing speed, as this is the only way the service can respond quickly to a user's geographical location.

However, data processing is problematic with existing technologies, as a network must be created in advance for the search. based on the purpose of the analysis, or failing that, a long processing time is required to thoroughly screen the plethora of areas. In response, Fujitsu has developed new technology that can search in areas of various sizes and complex shapes without the need for such a unique mesh, up to sixty times faster than previous methods.

With Fujitsu technology, potential areas of interest can be explored quickly and accurately, and new services can be introduced based on the position data of people or vehicles.
