Intel and NVIDIA: hardware on the verge of extinction
Several 2007 success hardware will retire in the first quarter.
In the spirit of the transition to 45nm, Intel will take orders for the Core 2 Duo E6300, E6600, E6700, E6320, E6420 and Core 2 Extreme X6800 processors by the end of January and for the Core 2 Duo E4400 by the last day of March.
Like Intel, NVIDIA is starting to release production lines: after the first quarter, delivery of the mid-range models of the GeForce 7 series will stop, with orders due by the end of March for the 7300 GT, 7600 GS and 7600 GT.
