Intel: PC according to Indian needs

Intel's new platform aims to bring information technology to the poorer strata.

The idea primarily aims to target the population of smaller villages. Computer kiosks with Internet access would be built within the framework of the project codenamed "Jagruti". These are necessary because IT is extremely popular in the country anyway, and according to the results of public opinion polls, not only residents of larger cities are interested in technology.

The goal was to develop computers that can withstand the often extreme conditions that occur in India: the engine compartment is dust-proof, and thanks to its design, the units can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 45 degrees and 85 percent relative humidity. The power supply is provided by a special power supply with a built-in uninterruptible power supply. It is hardly worth mentioning that the hardware is strictly based on Intel.

Of course, the pre-installed software will all be legal and will be security compliant. Computers will allow the public to use new services such as e-shopping or administration.
