This is how the glory of the world passes…
AMD threw a Cinebench R15 measurement at the Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX case.
I think we can safely say that even the most blinded fans didn’t think the smaller x86 processor maker was on such a successful path with the Zen architecture. The Ryzen family has not only caught up with current Intel solutions, but this is now a matter of serious humiliation. It’s true that the Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX mobilizes significantly more processors for this than the Core i9-7980XE, yet it would be a shame to dispute the fact that Intel here (HEDT platform) has now become second fiddle.
AMD:
- AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX
- sTR4 X399 motherboard
- GeForce GTX 1080 (24.21.13.9793)
- 4 × 8 GB DDR4-3200
- Windows 10 x64 Pro (RS3)
- Samsung 850 Pro SSD
- 5 099 points
Intel:
- Gigabyte X299 AORUS Gaming 9
- Intel Core i9-7980XE
- GeForce GTX 1080 (24.21.13.9793)
- 4 × 8 GB DDR4-3200
- Windows 10 x64 Pro (RS3)
- Samsung 850 Pro SSD
- 3 335 points
The measurements were provided by AMD itself, you can see this in the picture below.
The new Threadripper therefore provides explosive performance in its order and manner as long as the application is able to take advantage of the available resources.
