Official ATI Roadmap

The forecasts, which are very overcast, do not yet know whether we can believe it, in any case, ATI's official roadmap has been made public.

Az low-end itinerary as follows: PCI-Express-based video cards with 90-nanometer technology come with 32/64 and 128-bit memory interfaces and can build up to 32 to 512 MB of memory. Of course, the HyperMemory technology, ie the memory reservation from the system memory, can be enjoyed by the future owners here as well, but we have to give up the CrossFire technology that connects the two cards here (it doesn't make sense). The chip is available in two versions: RV515LE and RV515 PRO, or as the product will come out: X1300LE and X1300Pro.

A mid-range roadmap the following: also PCI-Express and also 90-nanometer technology, but 128/256/512 MB of memory is probably 128 and 256 bits. ATI CrossFire support, DVI / VGA / S-Video outputs. Also two versions: RV530 PRO and RV530 XT (X1600Pro and X1600XT).

A high-end itinerary full of riddle: Super High-Speed Memory Controller, Brand New Ultra-High-Performance 3D Engine that still knows what it covers. It is certain that our card will be very environmentally friendly, as it complies with the European Union's RoHS directive, which does not contain lead. The two versions are R520XL and R520XT (X1800XL and X1800XT).

That's it. We can still be in doubt, as we didn't know many specifics again, there is no clock, no power. It is certain that the 6 products will be even further divided, but I hope that the weighting of the products will be hit well now and that the situation that is still going on will not develop, that is, that there is a high-end and low-end ATI card in the middle. In NVIDIA colors.
