HD 4830: more information on Radeon, intended to be a rival to the 9800 GT
The VR-Zone also provided several new information regarding the Radeon HD 4830.
As for the RV770LE-based Radeon HD 4830, we’ve gotten smarter again: contrary to previous rumors, the graphics core will hide 480 shaders instead of 640, and the memory bus will have 192 bits instead of 256, with a minimum 450W power supply required. And VGA will premiere on October 21st - we learned from VR-Zone writing. Aside from this, and the following comparison slide (with the GeForce 9800 GT, by the way), everything else that has been evident so far has been written: 512 MB GDDR3 VRAM, DirectX 10.1, ATI CrossFireX, <$ 150 price tag.
