Fermi-based Quadro solutions will start soon

The Santa Clara company is expanding its range of graphics cards for professional areas with five new products.

The Quadro 6000, 5000, and 4000 cards will come with a mobile GPU labeled Quadro 5000M, as well as a rather brutal two-GPU Quadro Plex 7000. Each of the innovations is based on Fermi architecture. With their help, we can achieve up to five times more 3D performance and eight times more computing capacity in previous applications than previous models.

The Quadro 6000’s 574 MHz GPU features 448 CUDA cores and accesses 6GB of 2988MHz GDDR5 memory via a 384-bit wide memory interface. Its typical power consumption is around 225 watts, with two DisplayPorts and a DVI connector on the back, priced at almost $ 5000.

The Quadro 5000 is already tasting “only” $ 2249. The GPU clock was reduced to 513 MHz, the number of CUDA cores was reduced to 352, and the memory controller was reduced to 320 bits. Its 2,5 gigabytes of GDDR5 memory ticks at an effective 3000 MHz.

The one-slot Quadro 4000 graphics processor houses 256 CUDA cores connected by a 256-bit memory bus to 2GB of memory. They ask for $ 1149 for it.

The Quadro 5000M comes to mobile machines with two gigabytes of memory and a 256-bit wide memory bus. The number of CUDA seeds is 320.

Last but not least, the Quadro Plex 7000 with its $ 14 price tag (over $ 500 million) offers a total of 3 CUDA cores and 896GB of memory.
