A flood of AMD processors is expected later this year

According to a recent document, no less than 15 CPUs will be launched yet this year, including the first Fusion products.

Before launching its Bulldozer and Llano family of products next year, AMD will further slap the K10.5 architecture, which will result in clock upgrades on several models. No less than fifteen new desktop processors will be released this year, including the first Fusion copies.
From the figure, it is clear that most will arrive in the third quarter, with exactly nine pieces, including a new six-core Phenom II X6 1045T with a 2,7 GHz clock. The role of the flagship of the Phenom II X2 series will then be shaped by the Model 560 with a 3,3 GHz clock. The three-core units aren't left out of the line either, here the Athlon II X3 450 (3,2 GHz), 455 (3,3 GHz) and 420e (2,6 GHz) will enter the competition, with the latter CPU with a maximum power consumption of 45 watts has what the small letter “e” indicates. The quad-core Athlons will also be upgraded, where the following competitors will compete: Athlon II X4 645 (3,1 GHz), 650 (3,2 GHz) and 615e (2,5 GHz). The Regor family, the dual-core Athlon II series, will be expanded by four members. The Athlon II X2 265 will have a clock speed of 3,3, while the 270 will represent a 3,4 GHz clock, both with a 65-watt TDP. This is followed by an energy-saving version, the Athlon II X2 250e, which received a clock speed of around 3 GHz and was in the 45-watt class. The slowest Regor will be the X2 270u, which has a maximum power consumption of just 25 watts and ticks at 2,0 GHz. Each Athlon II instance can manage 2 MB of cache, just like their quad-core counterparts. For tri-core products, this will only be 1,5 MB in size.

Interestingly, the manufacturer is also launching a single-core processor, codenamed Sargas. The single core of the Sempron 150 will run at 2,9 GHz with 1 MB of cache and a maximum power consumption of 45 Watts. What is even more important and significant (from the manufacturer’s point of view, at least for sure) is that the first Fusion products will be launched at the end of this year, exactly two pieces that have been given the code name Zacate. Both include a DirectX 11-compatible graphics unit. The maximum consumption value is 18 watts for the single-core version and 25 watts for the dual-core version.

So it is clear from the above that AMD is squeezing everything out of the K10.5 architecture until the Bulldozer arrives, at the same time slowly arming the Fusion.
