The MECOOL KM8 TV box received Google authentication, Android 8 and voice control
You can block the Danube with average Adroid TV smartphones, but MECOOL offers outstanding capabilities at a low price.
I rarely recommend such TV smartphones for your attention. I’ll tell you honestly, I’m a little bored with the subject, since you basically all know the same thing, the maximum strength of the built-in iron varies. Let’s just say it doesn’t matter, as there are boxes with dewy hardware that can no longer really meet today’s needs, they still get as loud labels as 4K support.
In terms of hardware, the MECOOL KM8 is not outstanding either, although the quad-core Amilogic S53X with built-in Cortex-A905 cores and the Mali 450 next to the proci are perfect for multimedia purposes. The machine’s built-in 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage are also enough, especially to expand the latter with a 64-gigabyte or smaller capacity card. We won't miss connectors either. There is HDMI so we can output the picture and sound to the TV, but there is also a traditional jack if you want to send the sound to a speaker. There is n standard wifi, but if we have a wired network, we can also use the RJ45 Ethernet connector.
So MECOOL KM8 has not offered many special features so far, the next one is now. The first capability that is now considered extra or at least important is the Google Certified mark. A few months ago, the news came that Google was hardening, and a number of vendors wouldn’t get Google services alongside Android, including a web store. The main reason for this was that although Android itself is free to pay a license fee for the services, this has been saved by many manufacturers. Well, with MECOOL KM8, there will be no problem with this, so all Google services will be built into the system.
If you’ve already started with Google and Android, let’s move on. MECOOL KM8 is already using Android version 8, so we can enjoy the new capabilities as well.
The third extra is the remote control. On the one hand, it looks good, which is important, as it will not be the box on the coffee table, but the remote control, and indeed some manufacturers add such disgusts to their box that I would be ashamed to make it public. However, the MECOOL KM8 remote control is a nice clean piece and has just as many buttons as it needs to control Android. Plus, the remote control also got a microphone, so you can even control the TV smart with sound.
Another interesting thing is that the box of the MECOOL KM8 also has a Google Cast function, so if your Android phone or tablet hangs on the same wifi network as the box, we can send the image of the mobile device to the box or to the TV in one go.
I left the best to the end. The MECOOL KM8 is a new gadget, the introductory campaign is currently underway, and within this framework we can buy it for $ 67 instead of $ 60, or HUF 17.
I have already ordered one, so if you come you will get a more detailed test as well. Until you want one, you can find it here: MECOOL KM8 Google Certified Android TV Box
