Google Earth: Over 1 billion downloads

Google Earth was announced in June 2005. The program's download counter has now crossed the one billion dream mark.

With Google Earth, you can embark on virtual flights while viewing satellite imagery, maps, 3D buildings, and even galaxies in distant space. The program can read geographical coordinates from all parts of the Earth. It also includes 3D models of buildings selected, constructed and submitted by users. It is possible to display text information and photos submitted by the Google Earth online community (these usually draw attention to places of interest in some way).
