GeIL memories with a delay of 1,5

Although the news of the spread of DDR2 is coming differently at an ever-accelerating pace, yet many companies is working with steam power to ensure that the more efficient traditional DDR SDRAM does not go out in the foreseeable future.

Renowned for their excellent quality, the latest release of GeIL memories attracts the attention of anyone interested with a delay value of 1,5. Although under special circumstances some have managed to reach such an incredibly low value in the past, officially so far even the best specimens have had a delay of 2.

We don’t know yet how much acceleration we can expect in practice, but we’re expected to read a test of this type in a number of places soon. As we know, AMD processors in particular are famous for being much more sensitive to low latency than frequency, meaning they react just the opposite of Intel’s solutions.

Despite the rather encouraging data, we should not ignore the fact that this value of 1,5 is, of course, only guaranteed at the factory default value, ie 400 MHz, which is why strong overcurrent can be severely curtailed today.
